Statement of Technique

Often wheel thrown & relief carved.
Currently fired in an electric kiln, experimenting with commercial glazes.
Intentions to learn how to create my own glazes using raw material. My dream is to one day have access to my own kiln :)

My work is inspired by traditional Japanese shapes, ancient Chinese floral motifs & the beautiful elements of Mother Earth along the Pacific Northwest where I gratefully call home.

To supplement my curiosities surrounding ceramics, I learned traditional kintsugi from Master kintsugi artist, Yuka Morino.

My favourite clay body: Porcelain. Occasionally playing with different types of clay.
